Orbik Cybersecurity, a Basque-based start-up specializing in industrial cybersecurity, has become the first technological start-up in the region to transform into a cooperative. This milestone was achieved through a collaboration between the technology center Ikerlan and the Mondragon Corporation, with support from the Basque Government and the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council via the Basque Tek Ventures program.

The transformation into a cooperative is part of a broader strategy by Ikerlan and Mondragon to promote the creation of new cooperative start-ups in the Basque Country. Over the next four years, they aim to mobilize more than €10 million to foster these initiatives, emphasizing local roots and the retention of knowledge within the region.
