Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU

Nvidia has officially unveiled its GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, introducing significant advancements in graphics technology. The lineup includes four models:


  • RTX 5090: Priced at $1,999, this flagship model offers up to twice the performance of its predecessor, the RTX 4090, especially when utilizing DLSS 4.0 technology. It features 32GB of GDDR7 memory and 21,760 CUDA cores.

  • RTX 5080: Available for $999, it comes equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 10,752 CUDA cores.

  • RTX 5070 Ti: Priced at $749, it includes 12GB of GDDR7 memory and 8,960 CUDA cores.

  • RTX 5070: The most affordable at $549, it offers 12GB of GDDR7 memory and 6,144 CUDA cores, delivering performance comparable to the previous generation's RTX 4090.

The RTX 5090 and 5080 models are scheduled for release on January 30, 2025, with the 5070 Ti and 5070 following in February. These GPUs are built on Nvidia's new Blackwell architecture, which enhances ray tracing and AI-driven graphics capabilities. A notable feature is the fourth-generation Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS 4.0), utilizing advanced AI to improve image quality and performance.

In addition to the desktop GPUs, Nvidia has announced RTX 50 Series GPUs for laptops, offering up to 24GB of GDDR7 memory and supporting PCIe 5.0. These mobile GPUs are expected to be available in laptops starting March 2025.

Nvidia also introduced Project DIGITS, an AI-focused desktop computer powered by the GB10 Blackwell Superchip, capable of delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI performance. Aimed at developers and high-end engineers, Project DIGITS will be available starting in May 2025, priced at $3,000.
